ABOUT OUR CEO
Eng. Madiha Salem is an experienced senior leader in the UAE with a career spanning over 20 years and has led teams for vast business units of Nakheel, Dubai World and most recently the Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation (Trakhees).
Throughout her professional journey, she had a dream to make a significant contribution to Dubai and the UAE by synergising her knowledge, aspirations and ambitions with Dubai’s vision. The fact that Dubai was constantly innovating and raising its bar of excellence served as a source of inspiration for her to prove herself and make a mark with her contribution.
Driven by the virtues of integrity, conviction, commitment and accountability, she has directed teams by blending knowledge, experience, professionalism, compassion and a stakeholder-centric approach.
Amongst the many awards and recognitions in her career, she has most notably received the Emirates Women Awards 2017 for Outstanding Career Achievement and the Emirates Energy Award 2015 for Energy Efficiency in the Public Sector, presented by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.
A purpose closest to her heart is ‘sustainability’. As the Dubai Vision 2021 and Expo 2021 have highly stressed on sustainability as a strategic priority for progress, Eng. Madiha has led various sustainability and community-building initiatives and programmes in her previous roles to bring a positive change.
An experienced Architectural Engineer by background, she has also conceptualised and drafted an exclusive Assessment Index (ASASI) designed to measure green building performance holistically and can be adopted across the Middle East once published.
Her passion for events began when she reintroduced the 3rd Dubai Environment Health & Safety Awards 2015 after a gap of five years. Hosted by the Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation (Trakhees), the awards honoured the exemplary efforts and innovations in the field of HSE and was a huge success.
Fast forward to 2020, she started Market Solutions Events Management with a vision to pioneer the B2B and B2C events space that make an impact through knowledge-sharing between business communities and capitalising on opportunities that the UAE and the rest of MEA have to offer.
